We need a house sitter

South East - Hampshire

We are thinking about going away late march for a couple of weeks or so. We are looking for someone/couple who would be available to come and stay and look after our three lovely labs Purdey, Puddle and Twiggy (grandmum, mum and daughter).

There are no specific duties other than to walk the labs and enjoy the countryside. We are situated up a no through country lane in a lovely setting with views over surrounding Hampshire farmland. There are lots of walks locally including to the village pub in Holybourne ten minutes away. The market town of Alton is two miles.

You would ideally need a car and, if possible, would really like to meet you beforehand so that we can show you around, etc.

This was a great housesit for me. The dogs, Purdy, Puddle and Twiggy were such fun, very friendly and a pleasure to look after. Alastair gave great clear instructions and was very hospitable, making me feel welcome before the sit and during. The house and location was great with amazing walks peaceful and yet close to town when needed. Thank you for the opportunity and I certainly hope to be able to look after the "girls" again.

A late review - many apologies! House-sitting for Alastair and Liz was brilliant. Their three lovely labs were the matriarch Bella, the very clever Purdey and the cautious but very energetic Puddle. They are supposed to be hunting dogs but certainly live a comfortable life in half of the house, and knew very well where they could and couldn't go. This was our first house & doggie sit with this site, because of the Covid restrictions. How lucky were we, Alastair and Liz's home and dogs were an absolute delight. Alastair provided us with a full comprehensive instructions on the workings of their house and the care required for their 4 legged ladies. To have walks surrounded by farmland and relax in their beautiful garden was just lovely. Bella, Purdey and puppy Puddle were lots of fun to spend time with, very well behaved with that ... MORE
