About Our Home and Local Area:
Our home is located in a small and very pretty conservation village in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The village is quiet and picturesque, perfect for enjoying tranquil surroundings and scenic walks. While there is no shop in the village, essential amenities can be found a few miles away in nearby towns.

The wider area offers an abundance of opportunities to explore, including beautiful walking trails, rivers for swimming, historic landmarks, and charming market towns. Whether you love outdoor adventures or simply relaxing in a peaceful environment, this is a wonderful spot to spend your summer.

Pet Care Requirements:
We have a small group of friendly animals who will need care and companionship while we’re away:
• Flatcoated Retrievers: Two playful and affectionate dogs who adore people, countryside walks, and swimming in local rivers and lochs. They’ll need daily walks, plenty of attention, and lots of love.
• Chickens: A friendly, hand-reared flock that enjoys roaming the garden. Their care is simple: feeding, collecting fresh eggs, and ensuring they’re let out in the morning and locked up at night.
• Ponies: Four gentle ponies with straightforward care needs. Their routine involves feeding and checking them once daily, with minimal additional input required. Full instructions will be provided to ensure their care is as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Garden Care Requirements:
Our garden is low-maintenance but will need basic care to keep it thriving during the summer. This includes:
• Watering a few plants and flowerbeds as needed, especially during dry spells.
• Ensuring the garden remains tidy and welcoming (nothing too labour-intensive!).
