Beautiful cottage in the lovely village of Castle Hedingham. 5 bedroom Grade 2 listed cottage with 0.5 acre garden with a garden room, looking out over fields. Large kitchen/dining room with a snug area , looking out over garden and field. You will have your own bedroom and bathroom. Private drive.
Many many country walks from the house. The village has a castle (Norman keep ), village shop (for essentials), post office, tearoom, restaurant , hairdresser/ beauty salon, a couple of pubs.( The Bell is worth checking out) Bus stop at end of drive, however easier with a car. Halstead is 5 miles and has a few supermarkets , cafes, etc and Sudbury, which has a state of the art Museum, Gainsborough House, many supermarkets, leisure centre with swimming pool, cafes, restaurants , shops and a twice weekly market. Colchester is 30 minutes and Cambridge about 45 minutes away .
We would love you to enjoy our home as much as we do. You'll need to be able to look after Poppy our 3 year old black Labrador and walk her for up to two hours each morning and a short walk later in the afternoon/evening. We border onto a field and we let Poppy into the field in between walks to do her "necessaries". She also loves chasing a ball round the garden.
Molly aged 10 is pretty low maintenance just needs a lap to sit on and feeding twice a day. She is quite a shy cat but will like sitting on your lap and being stroked if you are sitting down. Neither of them are allowed upstairs.
We have a green-house and veg patch at the top of the garden and this will need watering in the summer; usually takes 15-20 minutes. Plus some pots scattered around the garden.. We hope you would treat our house as yours and keep it clean and tidy.
We often go away with our dog Poppy especially in the summer hols so there will be only Molly our cat and the garden to look after. So if you are not keen on dogs always worth enquiring whether we are away with our dog .
