We're looking for an experienced couple (ID verified) with own car to look after our 6 year old cat, house and garden by coming to stay in our house whilst we are away. Our cat enjoys quiet routines.
We live in a beautiful setting in an AONB area in a rural setting, opposite a farm and with views over fields. Car essential as no local transport. Copies of current driving licences will be requested.
We're located between Cowbeech and Rushlake Green, typical Sussex villages (both with pubs ). Rushlake Green also has a great village shop. Off road parking. Garden. Great for visiting East Sussex and Kent, cycling and walking. 12 minutes from both Heathfield and Hailsham. Half an hour from Lewes, Eastbourne & Tunbridge Wells. Forty five minutes from Brighton and Rye.
Amanda is a solicitor and Mike is retired (having run his own business previously). We love our home and our cat so are looking for pet sitters who will respect our home and love our cat.
We had a lovely time staying at Amanda & Mike’s house. It’s in a great rural location for exploring East Sussex. Honey was sweet, friendly, enjoyed sitting on our laps and was easy to look after.
We had good communication before and during the sit and there were comprehensive notes left. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.
This was a perfect housesit for us and one that we thoroughly enjoyed. Amanda had left clear notes and kept in touch during our time there. The annex was clean and had everything we needed for a comfy stay. Honey was easy to care for. There are so many places to visit and explore in the area. We recommend this sit and would welcome the chance to return.
I absolutely loved sitting for Honey! It was definitely one of the best sits I’ve ever done and I’ve been sitting for 4 years now. Honey is gentle, sweet and very easy to look after. I enjoyed snuggling up with her in the evenings watching TV. Amanda gave clear instructions for my time in the house and everything went smoothly. I really enjoyed my stay at Mike and Amanda ‘s house. It was a nice break in Sussex, UK.
I had the privilege of looking after Honey who was shy at first but turned out to be a terribly affectionate cat once I got to know her better. Mike and Amanda were very helpful and gave me lots of information about the area and the different places to visit in Sussex.

Amanda left very clear instructions for the house, and Honey. The house and garden are easy to maintain, and set in a lovely location. Honey is a lovely cat, who is so affectionate, and easy to look after. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there, and would do it again if given the opportunity.
We really enjoyed this sit. Communication was first class with all the details on how everything in the house worked and lots of maps and guides to local attractions left for us. Honey was a joy to look after. and we looked forward to her coming to us for her evening cuddle. The house is lovely and sitting in the garden watching all the birds at the feeder was very relaxing. Amanda left loads of helpful info about the house and caring for Honey. It was a very relaxing sit, Honey is delightful and easy to look after. The house is amazing, and the garden was full of flowers and birds. Highly recommend.
When we saw that Honey was looking for company and we were available, we jumped at the chance to return and are so glad that we did. She kept us very well entertained during our stay and was no trouble at all to care for and we thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing time. Thank you for allowing us to return.
Lovely house in a beautiful area. Hardly saw the cat but occasionally would demand a cuddle. I didn't actually meet Amanda but everything was done on trust & it worked well. I had some good bike rides but had forgotten quite how hilly the area is. I would return if asked.
We had a wonderful time house sitting for Amanda and looking after Honey. Amanda's flat is spotless, very spacious and comfortable with lovely views of the surrounding countryside and is set in a very peaceful location. There is so much to see and explore around the local area as well. The short drive to Heathfield provided all the amenities required.

It was a great pleasure spending time with Honey at Amanda's flat , lovely grounds to walk in and everything I needed. Great communication with Amanda. I would definitely pet sit there again.
