We are located just outside of Wainfleet which is approximately 6 miles from Skegness. So we have the best of both worlds Countryside and Seaside! We are looking for someone to pet sit for around 2 months. We have 3 dogs (greyhounds), 7 rabbits (Angoras housed in purpose built hutches undercover)7 guinea pigs, 6 birds (in small aviary) and assorted fish. As we would be away for around 2 months there would be some minimal garden maintenance ie plant watering. Accommodation would be in our mobile home in the large (half acre) garden which borders the River Steeping. The mobile home has been extensively renovated and improved and is heated by a cosy solid fuel stove/woodburner. Having the mobile home in addition to our small cottage makes it easy to have a handover period.
There is also ample room for a tourer or motorhome.
The dates could be varied possibly shortening the sit.
2nd house sit and was amazing as last time. Nice accommodation on river front. Animals easy once in a routine. Lots time to explore area. Neil and Teresa are good at communicating while away.
The accommodation is amazing, the gardens are beautiful and need as little or as much care as you wish to give, bare minimum of watering. Animals are all good and easy to look after. The dogs enjoy a long walk and are well behaved on the walk. Neil and T are amazing hosts. If you get a chance to housesit for them, 100% recommended.
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
