We need a house sitter

South West - Gloucestershire

Jayne

Hello, we are Jayne, Neil and our Cumbrian Trailhound, Flynn and we are looking for house sitter(s) between 24 April – 21 May 2025. Our home is a detached four-bedroom house sitting in a cul-de-sac in the wonderful village of Frampton-on-Severn. Frampton is a working rural Gloucestershire Village having lovely walks right on your doorstep. There is a local village shop which contains a post office for all your daily needs, a pub by the cricket green and a tea shop. It also has Tennis, Lawn Bowls and a Sailing club and you could try Bell Ringing on a Thursday night. At the link here (https://www.cotswolds.com/listing/frampton-on-severn/280028301/), you will find more about Frampton which you will see is ideally situated for easy access to the Cotswolds.
There are wonderful walks by the Gloucester Canal, Stroudwater Canal and there are a host of other wonderful attractions within close proximity. There is good road and rail access to the areas around us but please be aware that public transport is limited so a car would be essential. Our house has ample off-street parking, large ‘easy care’ front and rear level gardens which will not need tending other than maybe watering if the weather is very dry. There is a dedicated office space with fast WiFi throughout the house, and the office space is large enough to use if you wanted to work from home during your stay.
‘Flynn’ is used to walking twice a day, usually covering around 2 miles each walk (the village green is a mile long, and a good walk along the Canal is 5 mins walk away). Flynn is 11 but remains fit and active so able to accompany you on local walks, or if you are happy, take him further afield. He is good natured and ‘relaxed’ around other dogs and has good recall when off the lead in his ‘patch’ but not the best by roads. Our neighbours are friendly and would be on hand for emergencies and we can be contacted at any time by phone should this be necessary.
Public Transport Directions: Nearest main line stations are Stonehouse (London – Cheltenham line via Swindon) or Cam and Dursley (Bristol to Gloucester line) which both have ample parking.
Road Directions: Junction 13 off M5.
