I live in beautiful Cockermouth on the edge of the Lake District. There is a mix of independent local shops and Main Street supermarkets, this is a lovely market town and is an easy 10 minute walk into the centre of town. There is crummock water about 8 miles down the lorton valley and all the fells on your doorstep.
I have one large English blue cat. No longer two as the photo shows . He is very gentle and needs feeding twice a day along with strokes and cuddles.
The property is a detached 2 bedroomed bungalow with 2 reception rooms and a large kitchen with gas hob, double oven (electric) gas central heating and a wood burner. The garden is fairly large with grass and veg beds oh and a bbq area.
There is no WiFi as I use hotspotting from my phone data for iPlayer etc.
Ashley's two cats have a lovely easy-going nature and it was a pleasure to care for them over the course of our house-sit. Ashley's communication was prompt throughout and we had the opportunity to stay the evening before they headed off and received a warm welcome. The property is situated in the lovely town of Cockermouth and was an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. All in all - a lovely experience.
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
