A weekend staying in our 200 year old cottage looking after two cockapoos, 2 chickens and 4 fish. Daily walks for our two dogs - there are plenty of local walks on Salisbury Plains.
Toodles and Pip are sisters ( they will be 8 years old in Jan 2025) and love their walks. Pip is mad about fetching and retrieving a ball and will play for hours.
We are 20 mins from Salisbury and there are lots of surrounding villages with nice pubs to expore. Stonehenge is 30 minutes away. We are also 30 mins from Highclere and 1 hour from Bournemouth.
Toodles & Pip were an absolute delight to look after and the chicks were very friendly too.
The cottage was very cosy and I loved having a real fire, plus the area itself was great with everything you need.
It was also very central to go off exploring, Salisbury, Devizes, Stonehenge, Andover all within half an hour and the south coast about an hour away.
I would not hesitate to sit again 🤓.
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
