Port Talbot Wales

Hello potential animal sitter. We live in the beautiful Afan valley, a mountainous and woody valley outside of Port Talbot.The beach at Aberavon is a twenty five minute drive away and we use it for surfing and swimming on a regular basis, similarly there is the Gower which is about an hours drive - spoilt for choice for the beaches along there! Our area is a spot well known for it's extensive mountain bike and walking trails, so if you're a nature lover and like to be active there is plenty of scope for exploring, admiring and relaxing. The nature here is very diverse, and only meters away from our house you will come across scores of hares scampering along the grassy knolls on the pastoral hillsides! Red kites and buzzards regularly fly over the house, tawny owls can be heard in the night, and at one time we were priviliged with a very rare and up-close daytime sighting of a barn owl! It's very quiet and peaceful in our neighbourhood and we have very helpful and friendly neighbours. Two cats live in our house and they require very little as they sleep all day, so be sure to feed them mornings and early evenings. No litter trays to clean or empty as they both go outside to satisfy their calls of nature. We also have a rescue dog who is nervous but loving (once she knows you), and she prefers females. We would need to meet potential sitters before the date we go away to see how she is with them. We have three bedrooms and a log burner. The kitchen is being renovated but we will ensure it is safe to use before we leave.
