Ulverston England

We are looking for a housesitter(s) to also look after our 3 year old black Labrador, Treacle. We live in a detached 4 bed house with a good sized garden and fabulous views of the fells. We’re in the South Lakes in a small village with no amenities, so your own vehicle would be essential as there’s very little public transport. There are 2 pubs within walking distance (approx half mile and 1 mile). About 2 miles away there is a bakery and a butchers, where you can also get a few essentials. Nearest supermarket is about 6 miles.

You can walk from the door with the dog on common land. Otherwise, there are many wonderful walks a short car journey away - by the estuary, in woods and on the fells of course.

Treacle is a lovely, quiet dog. She’s full of fun and loves company. She enjoys a minimum of 1.5-2 hours of walks a day. We walk where she can be off lead as much as possible.
We have left her for up to 4 hours but she is used to someone being around most of the time.

The garden is our next project - it will not need anything doing unless you are super keen!
