We need a house sitter

Yorkshire and the Humber - North Yorkshire

James and Amy

2 x 5yr old border collies and an elderly cat to sit for just 1 week.

We live in a terraced house split over 3 levels with a home gym in the basement (including ski erg, bike, trx, and full weight system) and kitchen/dining/living open plan on the middle floor. On the top floor, 2 bedrooms (1 king sized bedroom and 3 single beds in another) and a home office with a monitor, keyboard and mouse ready for you to plug into if you need to work from home. 3 toilets. Main bedroom is ensuite. wifi available. Sonos speaker system in basement and living room. Quiet neighboroughhood with considerate neighbours. Parking for 2 cars. Close to the Yorkshire Dales. Plenty of places to go for lovely walks straight from the back door or easy enough to walk into Harrogate town centre within 20-30 minutes. Utility/boot room in the basement for all the muddy gear.

The dogs love long walks in the countryside. Amy runs with them on a medium sized non stop canix belt canicross human harness which is available to use if you like running? Hank and Indie will love you forever if you run and run and run with them.

Happy to chat and send more pics if required. Please forgive us if we don’t reply straight away, we’re just very busy with kids, animals and work and only log on periodically. Once we’ve confirmed sits, we do all our communication through WhatsApp/iMessage.

Many thanks,
Amy and James

This house sit was lovely, James and Amy were wonderful hosts, great communication and organisation. Hank and Indie were fun to take out and always eager for a walk, great walks in the area too. Lovely dogs to mind, very friendly and cuddly! Dorris the puss is a character, will remind you when it’s time for dinner and breakfast, and reward you with purrs. Great location to explore the Harrogate area, lots of nice wooodland walks to take the dogs on too.

PHIL & CAROLINE (Jan 2025 - 1 week 4 nights)
Hank and Indie are friendly and gorgeous dogs! They loved pats and long walks while Doris mainly kept to herself. James and Amy were great hosts, with effective communication. Everything was provided as needed. The house is in a lovely neighbourhood, but a walk away from public transport. The walk into town is easy and there are some nice cafes and pubs around. The path to the house was slippery but we were notified several times about this.

EMILY & MATT (Mar 2024 - 4 nights)
We thoroughly enjoyed our short break in Harrogate with Hank, Indy and Doris. The house is lovely, modern and the bed is super comfy. Had some fantastic walks and kept in touch with Amy & James throughout. Pre-info was outstanding which gave us lots of choice. Looking forward to doing it again!
