We need a house sitter

East of England - Norfolk

Sally

I'm looking for an experienced pet sitter to look after my 3 ex street dogs. Stanley has been living with me since December 2016 and is adorable and has settled in very well for a dog that lived on the street for 4 or 5 years. Myla, a small kokoni crossbreed, has been here for 6 years and takes time to get to know people. Stan is about 12/13 years old and he's Labrador size and well behaved. Finally, Noggins, has only been with me about 4 months. He moved into our garden in Bulgaria and wouldn't move out! He's adorable but doesn't like being left. So ideally, I'm looking for a couple as until he gets to know you he would be difficult to leave alone. They are all very good in the car and I regularly book private dog fields for them. Noggins is also happy waiting in the car for short supermarket runs. He is also learning to walk properly on the lead but can be reactive if he gets too close to other dogs. This is a work in progress as he's very new to living in a house.

I live in a lovely barn conversion with a 2 acre garden and lots of lovely walks right on the doorstep. I'm at the edge of a small village and it is fairly rural and a car is definitely required.

The only duties would be to look after the dogs.

I am vegan, and ideally would really be looking for a vegetarian, or somebody that would be respectful of my preferences whilst they stayed at my house. Although this isn't a show stopper!

I would definitely want you to meet the dogs first and probably stay a night or 2 beforehand so they know who you are - especially as little Myla is a little shy of people.

If you'd like to know more then please get in touch. I'm happy to pay towards your expenses to get here and whilst you're here or pay a daily amount.

Thank you very much.

Sally is very hospitable and absolutely made sure we were comfortable in her lovely home and idyllic gardens. Housesitting here has been amazing. Three dogs, all rescues and all such different, beautiful, characters that are wonderful to spend time with - we fell in love them all. Great walks from the front door - and lots of different route choices too. It's a lovely friendly village. The only downside of housesitting here is saying goodbye at the end of the sit. We are already looking ... MORE

No rating It was a real privilege to housesit for Sally, who was the perfect host. She was warm and generous and really could not do enough for me. She made me feel welcome and ensured I had everything I needed for the duration of the sit. Leaving clear, detailed guidelines and instructions, my stay was made comfortable, enabling me to get into a good routine with ease. Her two lovely dogs, Stan and Maxi, were great companions, all affectionate and a pleasure to look after. The lovely house is located on ... MORE
