Sadly my Housesitter has now cancelled at short notice due personal reasons and I am in a quandary looking for someone to look after Honey and Tilly, a very fit 17 year old puss cat! Details below. Exceptionally elegant and brand new ground floor apartment in an historic 1870:Victorian house, Home to Honey a 3+year old proper golden cocker girl. She is looking for a loving and active lady or couple to look after them whilst mum is away. This is what she has to say.
“I am very well house trained and very well behaved ( read my reviews!) and I love my walkies and live opposite the wonderful Hargate Forest, a woodland trust area of 300 acres where I can run free and Be safe away from traffic and livestock.
Mum has a weekly cleaner and I have a small secure garden plus a huge terrace I lounge and play on when the weather nice and the sun is shining. There is a posh communal garden where I can go on a lead but mum always takes me across the road to the forest for our walkies. Mum says there is parking for one car. She does have a a very twee Smart car if our new friends would like to use to take us somewhere different so as not to dirty their own car, as I do like to paddle! My town is a wonderful,place to visit with weekly markets on the famous Pantiles, lots of lovely pubs and restaurants and some really interesting shopping in the High Street. The country side is on our doorstep with the famous High Rocks 10 minutes walk away across open countryside just across the road, yet we are 5 minutes from the Pantiles area and Sainsburys/ Lidl superstores by car or use the bus which is at the bottom of our road. I really am a lovely affectionate girl and have met a few house sitters who have all been wonderful. So I am looking for someone who loves me as much as our mum does, so she can go away and be relaxed on her holiday.
This was my first ‘official’ house sit.
Valerie and I hit it off and she was a wonderful, generous host, with a lovely home and very friendly dogs. I couldn’t have asked for more, and I’ll definitely come again next time she needs me. Thanks Valerie!
We were once again looked after extremely well by Valerie in her temporary rented barn. She's always so generous with a welcoming meal, excellent notes on file, very comfortable beds and great linen. She left some delicious food in the fridge for us to enjoy along with wine as well. Excellent hostess. This home is luxurious, tidy & clean with the most comfy bed & linen! We met Valerie before the sit to be shown around & meet her pets. She's an experienced HO and keeps a full folder of useful info on the pets, the house & surrounding area. Paddington, a Golden Retriever, was a complete joy. So enjoyed house sitting for Valerie. Henry is such an adorable dog, you can't help but love him. Tilly also adorable and loved our company. We arrived the evening before Valerie left and she very kindly cooked a gorgeous meal for us. The house was very comfortable and loved the garden. We are so looking forward to returning next year.
Valerie is a cultured and charming lady who lives in a lovely house on the outskirts of Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent. The house is everything one could ask for, with all amenities, a huge garden and complete with swimming pool! Our first house/dog sitting experience was very enjoyable. We spent two days with Valerie before she left us in charge of her lovely home and gorgeous dogs, two Golden Retrievers, a spaniel and her very pretty little cat.
We were made very welcome and she showed us the local area for dog walks, shops etc.,
The dogs were very well trained extremely affectionate and lovable.
