We need a house sitter

South West - Somerset

Al

We are looking for someone sensible and experienced to look after our home and one small dog and an outdoor cat. The dog is a lovely Jack Russell who is very active and loves a walk. The cat lives out in our hay barn, and very low maintenance - is only fed indoors over night and comes in and out of the house on his own through a cat flap.
We live in a rural location and so car ownership is a must as there are no public transport links.
Winter/autumn housesitting will not involve any mowing. It just would be nice in the 'growing season'. But not a deal breaker.

I had a wonderful time sitting for Al and Ali in their lovely property. Murphy was a fabulous companion and we had great times going for walks every day. Arthur the cat, who tends to live in the stables was very affectionate when I went over to see him but I don't think he sticks around if Murphy is also around. The communication with Al made things very easy both before the sit and during it. I would recommend them highly. Thanks for a wonderful sit. Marcus

Ali communicated about the pets and house perfectly. Everything was found as we expected. Murphy was a delightful dog and enjoyed his walks. Ali’s home was warm and our bedroom was very comfortable. The area for walks is good but as it was winter there was a lot of mud on the tracks and fields but the lanes around her home are quiet and free of much traffic. Our stay was relaxed and peaceful. A beautiful home and we would definitely house/pet sit there again.
