Hiya!

Antonina, Lukas and Kubu here. We escaped the crazy London city life for a more slower pace country life. Im originally Bolivian and my partner is Polish and love the outdoors and meeting people from all walks of life.

We have our frenchbull dog Kubu that is our world and the most affectionate dog ever. He really isn't hard work, as he's happy with cuddles and sleeps all day, though he does have his hdhd playtime moments and he will appreciate some fresh air.

We live right in between Milnthorpe and Kendal. 25minutes from the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, a really beautiful part of the country to explore. Ideally you want to have a car as supermarkets are about 7/12 minute drive away. We live in a 4 bedroom house overlooking a farm and next to a river canal,so you get some lovely walks there. Small garden but we rarely use it.

I absolutely loved looking after Kubu, he is very well-behaved and super cuddly. Kubu enjoys the car and loves visiting different places. The house is set in the countryside on the edge of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales so you are spoilt for choice choosing where to visit. What a fantastic first experience of our house sitting adventure Antonina was so attentive as an host communication was superb ,nothing was too much trouble for her even when we had to contact her . We met with Antonina 2 weeks before the sit and also stayed the night before she left giving a good opportunity to learn about Kubu’s meds,routines, local walks etc Antonina went out of her way to be hospitable . She asked that we try having Kubu sleep in our room ( he has controlled epilepsy). He’s a great snorer & liked our bed, so after 3 nights we asked if it was ok to go to plan B. We had such a happy stay at Antonina's lovely home. What a perfect location, surrounded by great views, walks and wildlife. Kubu really loved his walks and was unbothered by other dogs, meaning we could take him everywhere with us. He never barked and was very content in his basket and happy coming in the car with us. This was our first house sit and what a super introduction to house sitting! We could not have asked for a warmer welcome from our hosts and their fabulous frenchie, Kubu. We had a great stay in a wonderful location with access to spectacular scenery and walks. The accommodation was lovely... and whilst there is only a small garden it is perfect and enclosed for the safety of Kubu. Walks are very accessible and on the doorstep!
