Buckhurst Hill England

We are looking for a housesitter from 11 to 31 December. You would be staying in our beautiful newly renovated apartment in Buckhurst Hill, London, just a few minutes’ walk from Epping Forest and with easy access to central London. You would be looking after our lively 2-year-old medium sized mixed breed dog Ellie. Two days of the week Ellie has a dog walker who takes her out from the 8am to 3pm -- we would continue this during the housesit.

The Apartment
South-facing, light-filled and incredibly spacious, the second (and top) floor apartment has far-reaching views over North London and Epping Forest. The renovated art-deco apartment has two spacious double bedrooms, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. It has a large sitting and dining room, with a TV that includes Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. There is a separate study with a monitor, a large kitchen (still currently being renovated) with all amenities including an Italian coffee machine. The flat also has a balcony with a gas Weber barbeque. The quiet apartment block includes a shared front lawn and off-street parking.

It is a 20 minute walk to Buckhurst Hill station where you can take the Central Line into London or a 20 minute walk to Chingford where you can catch the Overground. There are lots of nearby restaurants, pubs and a massive Waitrose as well as the major draw – acres and acres of forest and grassland, just two minutes from your doorstep.

Ellie
Ellie is an energetic and loving mixed breed (mainly Greyhound and Spaniel). She needs two forms of exercise a day – either one 30-45 min walk and separate 20 minute ball throw; a walk and a run; or one longer walk. She is very relaxed in the apartment once she has had some exercise. She can be left alone for around 4 hours depending on the time of day, but she is also fantastic on public transport and in pubs/ restaurants and shops so would love to join you on your adventures. She sleeps separately in the study.
