We are looking for a couple who can look after our 6 year old fox red labrador, Tiggy, our hens and our quail while we are on holiday, as well as keeping an eye on our house and the surroundings.

There is a main farm house and two holiday cottages (one of which you will be staying in), an open barn housing the quail and a table tennis table and a stable (that we use as an office and storage). To keep things simple, you would be staying in the holiday cottage (Cider Barn) that is closest to the house. Tiggy can either stay with you, or in the main house, whichever works best. The holiday cottage is very comfortable and has an open plan vaulted living/ studio area, a large wall hung smart TV, good Wi-Fi, a well stocked kitchen and bathroom (with shower). The hens live about 20m from the house and need to be fed and watered, let out into their little paddock each morning and put back every evening. They also need a little bit of mucking out.

We live on a 15 acre plot which has a couple of fields and a small woodland area. We are in a beautiful quiet rural area with walks in every direction straight from the house. We are about 10 minutes from Gillingham where there are good supermarkets, 10 minutes from Mere with small local shops and 20 minutes from Shaftesbury, which is a lovely place to visit. Stourhead (National Trust) is closeby and has a stunning illuminated walk throughout the Christmas period. Longleat also has a wonderful Festival of Light. Bath, which is under an hour away has a Christmas Market as does Winchester (which is just over an hour away).

We have lovely neighbours (including a farmer) who would be helpful if you had any problems.
