Emma
My name is Geraint and I am a writer and my wife, Emma, is an artist. We live with our two young kids along with 2 dogs (1 Portuguese Water Dog and 1 Jackapoo), 3 cats and 8 chickens in this beautiful quirky farmhouse half way up a hill at the edge of the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons. Some parts of the farmhouse date back to the fifteenth century and it has three large Inglenook fireplaces as well as a working Aga. The house has central heating, wifi and all the usual mod cons (dishwasher, washing machine, TV/Netflix, Wifi etc). We have 7 acres of land that includes an organic fruit/veg patch, a greenhouse, a wildflower meadow, a shepherds hut, a huge fire pit and a back garden terrace with a BBQ and a superlative view of the Hatterrall Ridge and Hay Bluff. There are stunning views from all around the property and the historic market town of Abergavenny ('The Food Capital of Wales') is just five miles away. We have a spare room with ensuite bathroom where you would stay on the first floor. Please note that the veg patch is Emma's pride and joy and that applicants who have some gardening ability and who are willing to help out a little will definitely be favoured.
