We hail from Canberra, Australia and are looking to House and pet sit around the UK for a little over two months from early December to early-ish February. We ‘re considering emigrating to the UK after Phil retires and want to spend some time in the areas we are considering moving to.
We have 2 adult sons who will be caring for our animals when we are away. We have 3 tuxedo cats and a 40 year old horse, all of whom we adore. Caroline has worked for the RDA and in a professional dressage stable and so has experience with a wide range of equines. Over the years we’ve had chickens, ducks, rats, Guinea pigs, fish, many cats and dogs. The only animal we’re not keen on are snakes! We are not big drinkers, are non smokers and not the partying sort. We’d spend our time reading, watching TV in the evening, cuddling animals, going for walks and taking the odd drive to get to know the area, which is why we want to house sit in nice semi rural or rural areas but we are open to town stays.

We returned from 3 weeks away to an immaculate house and very happy dogs (the dogs actually looked a bit put out when we came home!) Phil & Caroline took great care of our house, house plants and animals (2 x dogs, an elderly pony and several sheep), making sure they were walked, fed and watered - quite a challenge during a very cold snap with the most snow we have had here in years. Phil is very capable and practical and nothing was a bother or seemed to phase him. I can't recommend them more ... MORE
