Hello, I'm Katherine, a 41 year old animal lover, who now travels throughout the UK pet and house sitting!
I have for many years, up until April this year, been a full time carer for a very close family member, a job which although challenging at times, and incredibly isolating, I have loved and treasured every minute of.
I have been brought up around dogs,cats and horses. I've owned a bouncy Beagle, a beautiful Dalmation, a Boxer, cats, and numerous ponies and horses.
I enjoy reading, baking and walking in my spare time, and love visiting my small family throughout the UK.
I am currently long distance studying online, so I can be at home with your beloved family member, as much as is needed!
I have previously worked as a groom, on stud farms in Devon and Hereford.
I have experience with large breeds and small dogs, puppies and older animals. Horses, ponies,cats and kittens.
I also have experience of administering various medications to horses, cats and dogs.
I'm quiet, reliable and trustworthy.
I will follow any routines you have already established for your animals, and provide regular images and updates for your piece of mind whilst you are away 😊.
I am clean and tidy and will look after your home like my own.
I have an up to date DBS and will be fully insured shortly too.
I do not currently have a driving licence, but happily use public transport as necessary, and travel throughout England and Scotland, often at short notice.
I am more than happy to have a telephone/Whatsapp video call
with yourselves, if you would like, and I also offer meet and greets beforehand too depending on distance.
I do not smoke or vape or drink alcohol.

After Katherine looked after our house and cat so well in the summer, we asked if she would return to do the same in October but for 3 weeks rather than one. We were delighted when she agreed. She came as promised and as before, she looked after everything in our home with care and attention. Our cat took to Katherine straight away again and was obviously a happy cat while we were away. I can't recommend Katherine as a sitter highly enough.
Communication before sitting was good, we agreed on train ticket reimbursement, sitting was good but on the other side the house was left in a bad condition. I found dog pee inside the house and lot of fouling in the garden (looks like no cleaning at all during all week).
Dog looks good and happy during the sitting (and this is the most important matter) but I expect to find the house in the same condition I left it.
