Hello, nice to meet you!

I am a Dutch woman and moved to the U.K. in February 2019.. I have done house sits in 2018 too, as a holiday past time. One 2-week house sit in the Summer, in a village near Andover, and 2 weeks over Christmas in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. I lived and worked in Essex thirty years ago and in my spare time, I took the opportunity to explore other counties. That was when I fell in love with the English countryside, the traditions, the history, the culture, the space and variety of landscapes.

And, very important, I love all animals. I grew up with dogs and cats and have been a pony girl since I was a little girl. I still love to be around horses and like to go riding. I have been a dog sitter in Holland for several years. Both owners and dogs were always happy with me. I enjoy a long walk in the countryside or on a beach, preferably accompanied by a dog Some house and pet owners have become friends.

My other hobbies are: gardening, cooking, visiting National Trust locations, exploring new towns or villages, nosing around in antique/vintage shops, reading, playing board games, and I have serious plans to write a book about all my adventures.

When I stay in somebody's house, I always treat the property as if it is my own. I am a homemaker and like the place to be clean, tidy, and welcoming (fresh flowers on the table for example). The same applies to animals. Because I know how important they are to the owner, I will be careful and caring. Special care, issues or giving medication is no problem for me.

I have my own car, and in case I need to take your animal to the Vet's or get groomed/trimmed I can bring them.

You can be assured that I keep your house safe, clean and tidy, your garden maintained and watered and your precious pets safe, loved and happy.

I also take care of deliveries, liaise with cleaners, gardeners, contractors, I can run errands, etc.
If you would like me to give your house a spring clean, I am happy to do that at an attractive fee.
I can provide you with excellent references and house owners have asked me for a second or third time already! I have a clear DBS certificate dated April 2024.

I have looked after sheep, horses, dogs, cats, guinea fowl, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, peacocks and chicken.

When you return from your holiday or business trip, you will come home to a clean and tidy house with fresh milk, bread, and eggs for your first morning home. And you will receive a warm welcome by your happy and healthy animal(s)!

I kindly ask you to pay me a contribution towards my fuel expenses. And if your housesit requires a lot of extra tasks, such as mucking out, many different animals etc., I trust that we can also agree on a numeration for that.
