I am a Canadian social psychologist that has lived in the UK for over a decade. I love animals, am very clean, quiet, and trustworthy, and am currently looking to move back to London after stints in Scotland and Yorkshire. I work from home primarily, so would be able to spend most of my time with your animal friends. The majority of my face to face work is in London, so I'm primarily looking to spend some more time there while I find my next home, but I'm happy to consider house-sits in other places if it's the right fit. So do get in touch even if you're outside of London and I'll see if I can make it a working holiday!

I've done quite a bit of house and pet sitting over the years, and I grew up in a house with dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, mice, reptiles - you name it! In recent years I've mainly spent time with dogs and cats (as well as 6 interesting months fostering budgies). I do also have a little bit of farm experience and love cows and horses, so I'd be happy to give that a go if you'd be happy to tell me what needs doing! I am very good at keeping houseplants alive and well, with more limited experience with large gardens but am again very happy to give it a go. I love most all living beings and so truly care for all animals and plants I spend time with.

Although at least half of the pics on my phone are of animals, I never bother to get myself in them, so excuse the slightly goofy and/or blurry pics I've managed to find!

We recently had Shandi look after our cat, Milo, while we were on holiday, and we couldn't be happier with the experience! From the moment we met her, it was clear she had a genuine love for animals, and Milo warmed up to her right away. Shandi was incredibly professional, reliable, and attentive to Milo's needs. Shandi looked after our two fluffy cats and house (including plants) whilst we were away, for almost 3 weeks. She took the utmost care of our cats and we returned to find our house tidier than when we left. Shandi was excellent at communicating and sending update of the kitties, we wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Thank you :)

Unfortunately, our experience with Shandi has not been as would have liked. Just after 3 weeks into a 10 week booking, She left sending us a very long email why she had to leave. Being in Japan this left us in a very difficult situation. Our daughter had no choice but to return home and without her we would have been in a dia position. There seems to be a misunderstanding, as their daughter visited the cats weekly and repeatedly offered to stay with them. I don't think I would have thought about leaving early otherwise. So I agree, my communication could have been better! But I don't understand the low stars for house and garden ... MORE
Shandi was amazing looking after Schooch and our home, she kept me informed about Schooch. And applied mens when needed. I would definitely have Shandi back ads my house was cleaner than we we left! Thanks Shandi xo

We loved having Shandi as a sitter. Her communication was excellent, she was a perfect house guest, looking after the property and keeping it safe. Our dog was well cared for, fed and walked when needed, had lots of cuddles and formed a great relationship in such a short time. We would highly recommend.

Shandi is a lovely lady. She looked after our cat for nearly 3 weeks. Our house was clean and tidy when we returned. She kindly watered the plants and also the seedlings in the greenhouse. She is a fantastic house sitter and we would happily ask her to sit again.
