Banchory Scotland

We are a retired couple with family outside of Scotland looking for house sitters for several periods in 2025 for our pets and home in Banchory.

We have two dogs ( 'desert specials' - rescued from Abu
Dhabi ) 8 chickens, some sheep and 3 llamas. They are all pets and the sheep and llamas do not require much attention, however the llamas do appreciate some hard feed every other day and a bit of mucking out. We have also been adopted by a couple of feral cats who have food from an automatic feeder. We also have a young, mainly indoor, cat which was an abandoned rescue kitten from one of the as yet untrapped ferals .

Our home is a converted, detached steading in Royal Deeside with garden and paddocks and open views over the Grampian mountains. We are in a rural position but have close neighbours, so not completely isolated. Our house sitters will have a bedroom and en-suite bathroom in a separate wing of the house from that used by us. The local lanes are ideal for cycling and there are many mountain bike trails and walking trails in the surrounding woods and hills. We have bikes that our sitters can use.

We have a cleaner who comes in weekly and someone to cut the grass. We grow a few vegetables and plants in pots so will have a few things needing watering and feeding during our absence.
