South East - Hampshire

Maxine

A lovely rural Cottage awaits you in the village of Tichborne near Winchester. Country fields surround the house and a lovely big garden is available to enjoy. We have one small chihuahua Polly and an elusive cat Skyla. Care will include one dog walk per day (40mins to an hr) and feeding for Polly & Skyla twice a day. We are a very easy going veterinary couple, who enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures.
We are looking for someone to just give some company to our dog when we are away. She loves people but not so much other dogs - so care to be taken on walks. Come and relax in our home. Full of everything you could need for a relaxing getaway. From an open fire, fibre broadband, big open private garden, walking boots a bath to soak in. We look forward to hearing from you - M&K x

This is a fantastic sit. From the cosy cottage, to perfect communications from Maxine and the most delightful pets you could ever wish to meet, Skyla the cat greets you every morning with a meow and soft purr once she gets to know you. But the star of the show is polly the Chuhuahua she just melts your heart.. We hope we can sit for them again but anyone getting this sit will be extremely lucky. Caring for sweet little unique and glorious Polly and Skyla in a lovely, comfortable home, in a nice area with kind neighbours, can only be called a 'dream' assignment. I had the most enjoyable and memorable time, which ended much too quickly for me. Maxine and Keith are so kind and considerate and it was such a pleasure to meet them and care for their much loved pets and their home. Thank you for the honour.

What can I say, I totally fell in love with little Miss Polly the tiny floofy chihuahua, Skyla the fluffy little black cat also stole my heart although I barely saw her! The location of Max and Keiths house is stunning, completely surrounded by nature and beautiful walks, views from every direction, they have wonderful neighbours who are happy to help but you wouldn’t know they were there. Although we didn’t have the chance to meet Maxine and Keith, we had excellent communication throughout. They provided instructions which answered every possible question and always responded quickly to any messages. Polly and Skyla live in a cosy home with walks from the doorstep. Once we were familiar with Polly’s routine we settled into a happy rhythm together and she was a sweet companion. Maxine & Keith were so very welcoming and hospitable, even invited me to arrive a couple of days before they were due to go away, which enabled me to establish a great rapport with them. Their house in the small country village of Tichborne was beautifully quiet and peaceful and walking Polly around in all the adjacent fields was great - no need to traverse the tarred roads and encounter any traffic.
