Jeannine
1 dog, a horse and 2 ponies (horse is retired and ponies not backed I'm afraid) and 2 goats needing minimal feeding & care while we are away. Our house is detached on the edge of a small village and has a lovely big garden and ample room. There are 3 double bedrooms and a nursery with cot, 2 bathrooms plus another toilet. Located in mid Devon. You are free to be away from the house during the day (explore our lovely county) but the dog is used to being fed around 4-5pm and I wouldn't like him to be alone all day for too many days in succession. It's all quite low maintenance - dog has arthritis and very poor eye sight so walking not necessary. Some poo picking in the stable and yard will be needed :/ You would have a very comfortable break here in the peace and quiet of the countryside with glorious views and a small wood to explore too.
Jeannine's house was very comfortable to stay in. All instructions clearly set out in a manual & very organised. Communication was excellent and her pets were a joy to take care of. Lovely area & great for walking Dexter, who is well trained & walks nicely on lead.
I can highly recommend this house/pet sit experience to others.
My thanks to Jeannine in giving me the opportunity to experience rural life in the wonderful back country of Devon. The assigned tasks for all the animals and the care of the house were easily managed largely helped by the extensive set of instructions left by Jeannine. As a result, my stay was both rewarding and enjoyable in a house geared for a comfortable stay.

Our stay started with a fantastic welcome from Floozy and Dexter, two highly affectionate dogs who like the other animal pets are very entertaining to be with and easy to care for.
Jeannine sent us videos of feeding routines, these and the provision of an information manual gave us all we needed to know we were doing the right things.
The spacious, comfortable and well equipped house is set in substantial grounds. Remote but not isolated with beautiful views over Devon countryside.

A truly magical experience house sitting for Jeannine and Chris in their stunningly quirky, colourful, cozy, beautiful farm house Venncroft.
Wonderful people and wonderful animals.
Jeannine was so helpful and supportive and kind about the whole thing and the faith she put in me propelled me to step outside of my comfort zone and do the best job I could.
