Jane

Pretty old country cottage on a small dead end lane with lovely garden with 360 degree views across the countryside. The house is heated and has a log burner in the lounge.
Wifi and Netflix.
I have an English Setter called Baxter who needs a walk on the lead and is a friendly easy going dog. Lots of walks from the village.
The village also has a lovely free nature reserve with two large lakes and a cafe but no dogs allowed in here and there is a small wild swimming place too if you enjoy a quick dip.

Fabulous house and garden. Clear easy instructions left. Lovely area for walks, swims. Baxter is no trouble at all and is such a good cuddle. I hope to be back soon. :-)

SUE (Aug 2022 - 3 days)
My stay at Jane’s house looking after Baxter was an amazing experience. Jane is extremely kind, great communicator and made sure I was comfortable at her absence. Baxter is adorable, great company, energetic and loves long walks. I had a great time and can only thank Jane for trusting me with her house and beautiful Baxter X Marilena

MARILENA (Nov 2024 - 1 week 1 night)
Looked after the lovely Baxter in Janes perfect cosy cottage in a gorgeous village with lovely walks. Baxter is very easy to look after and Jane was a really kind host. The only reason Baxter got 4/5 stars was for his tendency to bark quite a lot. But i was forewarned and he is still a lovely dog. Thanks Jane for your hospitality.

ANNETTE (Apr 2024 - 1 week)
We had a pleasant stay in Janes' cottage set in a lovely valley close to Salisbury and Stonehenge. We met Jane an hour before handover and she kindly showed us around then left us a book with lots of information with regard to local walks;.lakes the house/dog . Baxter the setter was very entertaining when running around up in the orchard that has fantastic views during the day and is a great place to stargaze. Thank you Jane for the welcome gifts of food and drink

CLIVE (Nov 2022 - 4 days)
Just returned home from a lovely couple of days with Baxter who is the most gentle & sweet dog. Gorgeous walks up to the woods and along the river in glorious countryside. Spent the evenings in the orchard where Baxter could run free and snuffle about. Jane was so kind and friendly and left perfect instructions and her cottage was very pretty and comfortable. We would absolutely look after Baxter again!

MARIA (Aug 2022 - 3 days)
Jane made us welcome . He had left a meal in the fridge for us which was lovely. Baxter was a treat to look after even though we had a 5.30am alarm call with him. On a walk he was brilliant. We had a good time visiting places even seeing a Hereford bull which these days are a rare sight. Highly recommend this sit.

Baxter heralds the arrival of the milkman but does settle back down after a couple of minutes and sitters are pre warned to expect that
I had a wonderful time sitting for Jane. Baxter is a lovely active dog, who is great company in a beautiful setting.

CIARA (May 2022 - 12 days)
Jane has a lovely cottage with an amazing garden. The walks from the cottage are excellent. Baxter is a really loving and caring dog, he asked for nothing other than to be with us for walks play and cuddles and loved his zoomies around the orchard. He is an early riser, but once breakfast is over waits patiently for whatever comes next. Jane left a book of Baxter and house details with reference to various good walks.
