We need a house sitter

Eastern Scotland - Scottish Borders

Hello! We are looking for someone to come and house/petsit in our lovely flat in the old town part of the traditional mill town of Hawick in the Scottish Borders.

We're on the second floor with no lift if this would be an issue. We have one very affectionate and playful indoor cat, Prince, and one sweet but cautious ex-Beijing street dog Baozi (pronounced bow-zah).

Both are in good health - Baozi has terrier-tendencies (not friendly with strangers) so if you have experience with small dogs that would be great. They’re both very very affectionate at home.

Hawick is a very well served town with a cinema, yoga studio, swimming pool and multiple supermarkets surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside you'll experience! Our flat has loft and internal wall insulation and new heating. If you're working from home we have good WiFi.

I have a lot of houseplants that need watering every week or two.

Vicky picked me up from the bus stop and pointed to all the interesting places in the area on our walk home, and since she is a really friendly and nice person, I felt welcomed immediately. I was told that I need to look after a cat named Prince, but I have to disagree - this is a full-grown King! From the first second, I was in love and felt so blessed to spend my time with such a cute cat. He is a real sweetheart and I had a hard time to leave him at the end. Vicky and Andy are lovely people, we house sit whilst they went on a biking holiday over Christmas. They have a wonderful cat called Prince and a little rascal doggo called baozi. We had such a fabulous time, Hawick is a small village but it has everything you could possibly need. We had a car so was able to visit a lot of the villages surrounding it, we even took baozi on a few walks further away.
