I live in a semidetached Victorian in the lively medieval town of Faversham, approximately six miles from the coast, 20 minutes from Dover, five miles from Canterbury. There are great walks, concerts/live music events, medieval churches, festivals, restaurants, pubs, and open gardens nearby. The train station is a three-minute walk away, and London just over an hour by train. I have a dog, a cat, 1 aging bantam (NO GEESE OR DUCKS!), a small vegetable patch, a greenhouse and summerhouse, and a few fruit trees. I also have an allotment with fruit, beans, peas, artichokes and swans, ducks, herons, and a kingfisher or two a very pleasant walking distance away and a quiet place to sit.
I have a piano in good condition and recently tuned.
I seek an experienced dog person or couple. I have a dog walker who takes Jona out on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for a couple of hours. With enough notice, she can sometimes have him for longer if, for example, you were wanting to visit London for the day.
I also will ask the friend who helps me clean to clean while I am away.
The cat is an 11-year-old rag doll with a catflap, though he uses a litter tray. The bantam is very easy, and I have no other poultry.
