We're looking for someone to dogsit/housesit our two dogs (Cockapoos) in February, as our entire family (including extended family) are away together Skiing. If you happen to be free Wednesday 12th - Wednesday 19th February 2025 and are interested I'd love to hear back from you.
Location:
We live in a village called Castle Hedingham in Essex, nice and rural with lots of lovely field or forest walks on our doorstep. The village itself has three pubs, a restaurant and a village shop. Castle Hedingham is an ancient village with a very well-preserved Norman Fort (Hedingham Castle) and is nearby to other fantastic historic towns and villages such as Lavenham, Long Melford, and Sudbury
Dogs:
We have two small Cockapoos, Alba (Female, 6) and Ralphie (Male, 2). They are extremely people-friendly dogs, they will need one walk per day (but would never say no to a second walk). The dogs can still be left for hours at a time for you to enjoy the local area.
House:
Our house is a converted 16th Century pub with lots of character and lots of history! It is 4/5 bedroom, the downstairs has plenty of space to relax and enjoy a winter break (w/ breakfast room, dining room, two sitting rooms, office/fitness room). In addition to central heating, there are also two log burners and an open fire so you'll never go cold on an ice day. Large gated driveway + carport.
The fridges will be stocked and the house will be clean and ready for your arrival.
You'll have full run of our house and we'd love for you to treat it as your own, couples or single travelers are welcome!

We had a great house sit at Rob and Faye's lovely home. Clear instructions were left for us and we were made to feel very welcome. The 2 little dogs were an absolute delight and so well behaved. The area was also very good with some lovely walks. We would love to be invited back at any time
We have just completed a wonderful 7-day house-sit at the lovely home of Robert and Faye, which is situated in a beautiful area. Their gorgeous little dog, Alba, was an absolute joy to look after. She was so incredibly cute and obedient. Robert & Faye left us very comprehensive instructions, telling us everything we needed to know about the sit. This house-sit was a lovely experience, and it's one that we would love to do again. Thank you both so much.
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
