Here at Whitmoor we are looking for a person or couple to look after our smallholding and animals while we are away. We have 7 horses, 2 dogs, 2 emus, 2 goats, 3 geese and several chickens.
The house is one level, with the living room, kitchen, dining room and 3 bedrooms and shower room/toilet adjoined. There are 2 shepherds huts a step away, one would be your accommodation if you would like, or you could have a room in the house. There is central heating throughout the house and the huts and inside the front room there is a log burner. The kitchen has a range cooker however there is plenty of scope to cook outside if you prefer and the weather allows.
We are looking for someone who is able to walk the dogs at least twice a day, feed the animals in the morning and ensure the birds are safely away each night. The horses live out so will only need a bale or two of hay each day. Ideally this would suit a person or people who enjoy the outdoors as we have 56 acres. None of this land needs managing, however, the horses roam and we would need you to just look at the horses daily, while walking the dogs perhaps, to ensure they are all ok. The horses will not need any handling while we are away.
