We need a house sitter

Caroline

House and dog sitting job required. We live in a small rural quiet hamlet, with 2 labradors 15 and 5 years old. Well trained and easy to look after, love lots of attention and cuddles but not on the sofa! Needing 2 walks a day. Can walk from the house but many lovely walks just a few miles away, as well as The Ridgeway. Our beautiful family home has lots of space and a large garden. Friendly neighbours. Need a car, there are no services in the hamlet. Also, be happy to take the dogs in your car for walks.

Such a pleasure to house-sit, once again, for Nick & Caroline, and to care for their two beautifully behaved black labs. As previously, I was made to feel most welcome and comfortable, which I greatly appreciated. There are lovely walks available direct from the house, and plenty within easy driving distance - and the dogs love car trips! What a pleasure to meet Nick & Caroline, to stay at their lovely house in Oxfordshire, and to look after “the girls” – Merlot & Zampa, the most perfectly well-mannered black labs imaginable! There were plenty of good local walks – and many more within easy driving distance, all helpfully noted and map-referenced by Nick, to whom, incidentally, I am indebted for his introduction to the mapping app “What 3 Words”. We just loved Merlot and Zampa, such well trained dogs. Our stay was very pleasant, I loved dead heading the roses and flowers, watering the garden and the cutting a few sweet peas for the house. We enjoyed our house/dog sit very much, enjoyed the fresh veggies, tomatoes and raspberries. Had a super evening with Nick, Caroline & Iona before they left - meal was excellent and super wine selection. Really looking forward to returning in October.
