We need a house sitter

North West - Greater Manchester

Alena

We are looking for a loving person (or a couple) to look after our 2 sausage dogs while we're away. They have a fairly simple routine, they need to be fed and let out in the garden twice a day. We have a dog walker who will take them out at midday. Rest of the day they will play with their toys or sleep and they love having someone around to sit with on the sofa in the evenings. They are very loving, give the best cuddles and are a lot of fun just to watch. They're the best dogs in the world and we love them very much therefore we're looking for someone who will be treating them with a lot of love, care and respect.

Our 3 bedroom Victorian house has been recently fully renovated. We have a spare guest room that will be ready for you and there are 2 bathrooms (one of them has a bath) available as well as a modern open plan kitchen and a living room with a fire place and a dining area. We also have a nice size garden. There's on-street parking available in front and next to our house. The nearest grocery shop is 300m from the house and there are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and take-aways in walking distance. Train station with direct links to Liverpool, Manchester city center and MAN airport is 900m from the house. We have a big park right across the street where we usually walk our dogs and there are nice woodland and canal paths for longer walks in the surrounding areas.

Had such a nice week at Alena's home cuddling and caring for Grendal and Zelda. I arrived the evening before Alena and her partner were leaving and they made me feel really comfortable and provided pizzas. Bedroom and bed were perfect and comfortable and Alena provided towels slippers etc. Dog walker took the dogs out each day as they are more confident with the walker. This meant I had some time to explore Manchester and the surrounding area- there were some lovely walks, cafes etc and ... MORE

Really nice, comfortable home in Manchester and Alena & Owen were a very friendly and welcoming couple. The two dogs, Zelda and Grendel, what an adorable pair. Zelda so confident and cheeky and Grendel so cute and both full of energy and love to play, especially if there is a ball involved. Easy access to central Manchester by bus or train and thought Manchester was a great city with lots to do. Highly recommend this sit if you get the chance!

Alena and Owen are a lovely couple who trusted us to do our very first housesit for their adorable sausage dogs Zelda and Grendel. Their house is very comfortable and within walking distance of all the amenities, we ate out at a couple of lovely places during our stay. The dogs were a joy to look after, we enjoyed our time with them very much and appreciated all the kisses. We hope to be able sit for them again and recommend this sit to anyone.

Alena and Owen were welcoming and warm, and gave very clear instructions on looking after the dogs. The two sausage dogs are absolutely lovely and straightforward to look after. The house is a smart and comfortable place to stay with a garden and a park very close by, and good transport links into the city. A really lovely sit!

Had a great two weeks in Eccles looking after two wee daschunds who were bundles of fun! Both Zelda and Grendel are great little dogs with loads of energy but do nap quite a bit during the day so if you work remotely like me then it's easy. Grendel can take a day or two to come around as strange new people in his space makes him a little nervous but once he gets to know you he is full of kisses and cuddles.
