We are new to housesitters uk and I am just getting used to the site and hope that this is an appropriate invitation. We would like to invite you to sit for our two golden retrievers for 3 weeks when we visit Thailand & Singapore with our three daughters. We live in an elevated bungalow overlooking the river Tamar, the border to Devon and Cornwall central to both coasts which are under an hours drive from us and we can be on Dartmoor in 20 minutes. We are central to Tavistock, Callington and Launceston, our small hamlet has 11 houses and a pub, no street lights and no public transport! We are rural, no pavements but within 15minutes drive to a supermarket. Our mother and daughter goldies are very loving and great fun, Bramble (with one eye) at 13 is slowing down now and often 50 yards behind whilst her daughter Twiggy is 50 yards ahead. Twiggy is very loud and a good guard dog, she is also a keen hunter, Bramble loves everyone human but can be a bit grumbly when young dogs annoy her. We tend to take them on walks local to the area and they don’t go out in the car too much although they both love the beach. We are close to Tamar trails, Kit Hill, and Dartmoor and Newbridge woods all great walking areas The bungalow is warm and large with a great kitchen, you would stay in one of our daughter’s rooms ( she is currently in New Zealand) and we have just had a new king size bed delivered. We have fibre wifi which works well. We have a reasonably sized garden on varying levels with a stream as a boundary. Bramble is a bit of an escapologist and likes to visit the pub! The garden is a work in progress and Paul has a veg plot across the road, bordering the bridge. To relax after a dog walk we have a hot tub in the garden. We previously ran the pub next door for 25 years and have been retired for 3 . If this is of interest to you please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions . We look forward to your reply
