Glasgow Scotland

We’re a couple based in Glasgow with three small dogs - Archie - a 6 year old Border Terrier, Reggie - 5 year old Parsons Russell terrier and Bear - a 2 year old Parsons. We’re looking for someone to stay with our boys while we are on holiday. The boys have different needs and in some ways are very easy and relaxed but in other ways a bit more complicated. They need a long morning leaded walk at the local park - five minutes walk away. Archie and Reggie are fine leaded but Bear is a bit anxious on the lead and barks frequently at other dogs, cars etc and for that reason it’s often best to go early. They all respond well to positive praise and have treats to reward good behaviour, but they do need firm boundaries in certain situations which we’re happy to go over if you come and meet them.

Mostly they are wonderful, cuddly boys - Bear is a bit more full of energy being younger. We have a garden with direct access from the flat which means they can go out when they need to. They all stay in the living room at night. They can be left alone for several hours and a car is available if you have a full clean licence.

Food is straightforward - they eat together twice a day and get occasional treats and carrots! . We’d only need help with plants if we’re away over a week and it’s rarely dry too long in Glasgow to worry about the garden!

There are lots of local shops within a five minute walk and a bigger shopping centre a mile away. There are good bus links into town from the end of the street.
