Mature and sensible person/couple required to look after two small dogs, a Westie and a Cavalier KC Spaniel. We are in a the centre of a village, and the house backs on to an open area with views of the South Downs. Good walks and shops are on the doorstep. Lovely private garden with seating areas. In summer fresh vegetable!
Many lovely places to visit near here, coast and city, near to Arundel, Worthing, Chichester, and a comfortable home environment. The dogs are sweet and gentle, love to walk and to snuggle and are easy to get on with.
Depending on time of year, light gardening would be very welcome!
There is a Waitrose and Tesco within walking distance, and pubs and restaurants. The village hall almost next door has a weekly market, and regular yoga and Pilates classes. There is also a sports centre and tennis club nearby.

Theresa was very welcoming on our first evening and explained everything well. The house is very comfortable and easy to live in and there is a very pretty garden for sunny weather. Bobby and Buddy are very loving and easy to look after and enjoy their walks of which there are an attractive variety to choose from in the area. Storrington has a good selection of local shops within an easy walk.
Theresa is a warm, kind host. We were welcomed on arrival with an evening meal , ( plus home made brownies)
Details of walks in the area, places to visit and Bobby and Buddy's routine were first class. It's our second visit and we were delighted to get the chance to return. We hit it off with Theresa immediately during the initial video call.
Upon arrival at Theresa’s we received a very warm welcome which included a home baked cake and later fish pie for dinner.
The house is just lovely and very tastefully furnished. There is everything you need here with shops and restaurants within a few minutes walking distance.
We really loved looking after the dogs. Bobby was just so much fun and couldn’t wait for his walks.

We have recently finished a housesit for Theresa. From the start she was great with communications and meeting her, and her precious dogs, beforehand was helpful. Theresa has a full file of information. Her boys, Buddy & Bobby are delightful. So easy to look after and a joy to take out on walks over the South Downs. To spend time in Theresa's beautiful house looking after the delightful Bobby & Buddy was a real treat. Storrington is well located for the South Downs National Park and the coast with some lovely walks, views and pub stops.

I had such a lovely and peaceful time in a truly beautiful home and location with Bobby and Buddy. Theresa made me feel very welcome and appreciated. I was left with clear instructions which was very reassuring and very easy and prompt communication with Theresa when required. Bobby and Buddy are the sweetest of dogs, I absolutely loved being with them, they are extremely easy to care for and gave me so much joy. I highly recommend this lovely housesit ☺️

We thoroughly enjoyed our housesit here. The dogs are adorable and probably the most laid back, well behaved dogs we have ever met with great social skills and such lovely personalities. Theresa has used housesitters before and knew exactly how to make us feel at home and comfortable during our time here - and we did really enjoy the whole experience. Had a lovely peaceful time looking after the most adorable little dogs which we were very sad to leave. Theresa made us most welcome to enjoy her home and great surroundings for walking and admiring the horses. Was given lots of information regarding area. Great sit.

Beautiful, tranquil location with stunning scenery and fabulous walking/cycling nearby. Very comfortable house with well behaved dogs and jaw dropping views. All in all a very uplifting experience and thanks again to Theresa who made me feel very welcome.
Bobby and Buddy, the two dogs are wonderful little souls and very easy to care for. Theresa is a gracious and kind host, easy to communicate with and has a lovely, comfortable home. The surroundings are stunning with peaceful walks through the nearby stud and hills. Highly recommended!
We loved house sitting for Theresa - she is completely charming, the dogs are good fun, the house is stunning and the area is breathtaking - perfect for those who fancy getting away from it all. We're going to be house sitting in Scotland while she's next away, otherwise we'd be back in a shot! Definitely one of our favourite house sits (and we're on our 117th sit!).
Theresa has a beautiful house and garden in a quiet location.
Communication was very good before and during the House-Sit. There is a manual containing instructions, contact numbers and information about local walks nearby.
The dogs, Buddy and Bobby, are a pleasure to be with. They very quickly accepted our presence and fell back into their routine, they were easy to look after and didn't cause us to be concerned at any time.

We had a lovely time looking after Theresa's dogs, Buddy and Bobby who were adorable. There are some great walks in the area and both dogs were well behaved and a joy to look after. The house was a beautiful converted barn set in one of the prettiest areas of Sussex. Theresa was so nice and extremely helpful and gave us a lot of information about the local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would be happy to housesit for Theresa again!
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
