We need a house sitter

North West - Greater Manchester

Kate

I am looking for a house sitter to stay with Bill, a house cat who I adopted 5 years ago from the local animal sanctuary.

He is used to being alone in the day and enjoys cuddling up at night.

We live in a really well-connected spot on the outskirts of Manchester Centre.

There are 2 tram stops nearby (about 8 and 10 min walk), multiple bus routes and 2 pick up points to hire city bikes less than 3 mins away.

You can walk into town in 15 mins , Salford Quays in 20 mins, Media City 25 min and Chorlton 25 mins max. If you don't know Manchester there is so much to do in these areas without even having to go into the City Centre.

There is no garden but 2 local parks including one that has recently won a green flag award.

If you enjoy being sporty Park run is there too, there are 3 gyms close by and Trafford Park has the biggest indoor climbing wall in Europe to enjoy.

For food/coffee, there is the local White City Retail park which is walkable in about 15 mins, then a huge Tesco and a Lidl 5 mins on from that if you don't fancy going into town.

Please let me know if you'd like to learn more.

Note: For this sit, I am looking for someone to be able to arrive the Saturday lunch time please or if you are in the Manchester before there is the option for a spare key handover. I will arrive back the following Saturday evening but if you need to get away before then there is option for key drop off.
Thanks!

The 'catsit' for Bill the cat and Kate went very well. A lovely flat in an excellent position for trips out around Manchester. on foot or public transport. Communications throughout were very good and instructions both verbal and written very clear to follow. Bill is an absolutely adorable cat , very undemanding and easy to look after. Both delightful to give us our first experience of 'catsitting'.

DAVID & JAN (Jul 2024 - 3 nights)
We had a lovely weekend with Bill the cat! He was very affectionate but easy to look after. Kate has a lovely apartment that is close to a bus stop and to town if you fancy a walk, with everything you need. We had great communication with Kate throughout the housesit.

EMILY & MATT (Sep 2024 - 2 nights)
Very much enjoyed my time cat sitting Bill! I was nervous as this was my first housesit, however Kate was amazing and talked me through and showed me everything, provided loads of info, answered all my questions and was super supportive. Bill the cat is very affectionate and easygoing, and was a pleasure to spend 3 days with. Thank you both for a great experience!
