We are looking for someone special to take care of our beloved dog and our little old cottage whilst we holiday with family.
The dog is rather ugly but very sweet and will expect cuddles on the sofa at night times. One walk a day is sufficient but she would happily walk more. She is queen of her fiefdom and can find plenty of mischief to get up to at home!
The cottage was built in 1611 and has many quirks! We have very low beams and doorways so this property is unlikely to suit tall people. There is a steep, narrow and wonky stairway to get to the one double bedroom. The floor slopes quite dramatically and large wedges are in place to keep the bed upright. We do have WiFi, gas heating/electricity and we are on mains drainage.
We live in a picturesque village 10 miles from the East Devon beaches, 2 miles west of the market town of Honiton and about 16 miles from the city of Exeter. The cottage is surrounded by fields and ancient woodland.
We have wonderful neighbours, bovine and human.
This is a rural location so you would need to have access to a car. The cottage is opposite a church and bells are heard on the hour. Owls can be seen and heard hooting most nights. We share the property with very rare bats although they have their own entrance/exit and are no trouble.
