East Wales - Cardiff
Charlotte
We live just outside of Cardiff, in the lovely Roath area. Very close to train to pop into the city or lots of close by walks and things to see.
We would be asking you to take care of our two ducks - Hoddle and Waddle. They live outside, contained in our garden. They aren’t too much trouble but do require some particulars and lots of treats!
In the winter months we let them out about 8/9am - watering/feeding and a splash in their pool!
They should be fine for a few hours left to themselves but we don’t tend to leave them unattended for long periods due to Mr Fox/the local cats! But they have a suitable run to be popped in, should you wish to go out for the day.
Their eve routine is being put in their run around 5pm and then putting to bed 8/9pm.
In a week period they will need a bit of cleaning - generally a hose down of run a couple of times/ scooping poop in their house/fresh straw and quite a bit of fresh watering - every other day their pool is refilled (this is small!).
It will require someone who is fairly agile on feet, as our garden and their set up has steps and if wet, the garden can get muddy quickly!
They are pretty friendly things after getting to know you and treats received! They do like company and very nosey when pottering in the garden.
Our home is hopefully very welcoming - for individuals or families. Sleeping up to 8 max. We would not accept dogs due to the ducks but other pets will be considered.
We do also have a tortioise but our nephews often won’t him to holiday at theirs so it is unlikely Henry would be part of the ask.
Any questions please get in touch!
We do go away fairly often and have a trip planned in early May should these dates not suit this time - do reach out if this is the case.
