We need a house sitter

South East - Hampshire

Tonyandtarah

Hi,
We have two Duck Retrieving Tollers (medium/large breed of dog, a bit smaller than a golden retriever). Our old boy will be 14 years old and very low maintenance. He doesn’t require much and is a retiring assistance dog.
Our big pup will be 2 yrs old when we go away. He is a lovable bundle of energy who just wants you to know he’s there. He gets very over excited when someone first comes in and we just put him on the lead inside until he calms, it doesn’t take long. Due to this we do ask that only people who are confident that they can cope with this apply please, preferably a couple or an experienced individual. He is better with men. We’d rather be honest so it’s no surprise if he jumps up. He’s currently in training. He is a very happy, friendly dog with people and animals. He loves a tummy tickle or a cuddle. We foster and the kids that come all love him. He needs a good run daily then he will settle and sleep (until someone rings the doorbell! Although he’s getting better with this daily). He’s great out on a forest walk, but hates road walking by busy traffic.
We do have a kitchen with a glass door. It’s where he sleeps and he can go in there if he needs to chill. They will need feeding twice a day and water topped up please. Please also see our last sit review from the lovely Graham who sat for us over the summer. This will give you an idea from a sitters perspective.
Our house is in a quiet Road, walking distance into Ringwood town. It’s a lovely town on the edge of the New Forest. There are numerous pubs, restaurants and cafes to try. There’s also a bus station with regular buses to the bigger towns.
You can be in the forest within 5mins by bike and 15/20mins drive to blue flag beaches. All great for dog walks!
The garden isn’t massive, but it’s big enough to enjoy. We don’t need garden care done unless it’s a passion of yours. There are some pot plants in the kitchen. If they look like they need water please would you kindly water them.
We will leave everything nice and clean & tidy for you. All we ask is that it’s the same when we get home please.

Tarah and Anyony are an easy going lovely couple. Their home is tucked away nicely in Ringwood and is a wonderful place to look after, with a lovely garden and access to wifi, etc... Ringwood town centre is a 10 minute walk where you can get everything you need food wise. The surrounding area has loads of great places to walk, and Sand Bank beaches are only 30 minutes you want a breath of sea air. Lastly Flash and Elmo the gentlemen of the house are amazing dogs, who are very easy ... MORE
