We are going abroad and are looking for someone to look after (feed/water/walk) and spend time with our animals.

We plan to leave around the afternoon of 18th July and will arrive back in the evening of the 2nd August.

The house largely looks after itself, just treat as you would your own. We primarily require someone to housesit and look after and provide company to our animals. Looking for someone who enjoys spending time with animals. You will need to reside in the property overnight, feed and care for animals as below. Sitters provide their own food etc, we pay all household bills etc.

One dog, cocker. Excellent with people and other dogs

Cat (quite old) generally looks after himself mostly but does like people and will sit on your lap most evenings. He is known to all the neighbours (many of whom also feed him).

We have 3 parrots who just require their food and water changing daily. They also enjoy being talked or sung to. They can talk well although are the two greys are not tame enough to be held unless you are experienced with birds. The Galah is easy to handle, rarley bites (and has not been known to bite hard) and likes being petted and held once he knows you. If you want to try and do more with them (ie. get them out of the cage to play, not required but fun if you like that sort of thing). Full detail on how to do this will be provided.

There are 3 sugar gliders in our daughters room. They require feeding and watering daily. If you wish to get them out you can spend some 'tent time' with you. There is a pop up tent mesh in my daughters room and she normally sits in it with them for about half an hour each day as they run around etc. They are fairly tame and easy(ish) to get back in their vivarium if you do take them out. Again, nothing other than feeding and watering is required if you are not comfortable getting them out and full instructions provided.

Other than that we have a pond in the back garden with a selection fish that need a handful of food daily and may need the odd water top up if temperatures are high.

We have central heating, all white goods including dishwasher etc. We also have Firestick, IPTV and Netflix, large smart TV as well as games consoles. There is a large TV in bedroom too with a firestick. There is very high speed (1024 mbps wired and WiFi) internet connections, with good connectivity throughout including the garden. We also have a high spec Jacuzzi bath upstairs.

Parking is on street and normally right outside however after 18:00pm you may have to park around the corner as it gets busy (never more than a few minuites away, even then). We are about 5-10 minutes from the centre of Portsmouth by car and are within walking distance of shops, supermarkets, main bus routes, train stations and lots of pubs, bars, restaurants and fast food places.

The house is a mid terrace house, neighbours are nice, never any issues. Small garden at the rear of the house which is fully enclosed and the animals have access through a dog flap. You may smoke in the back garden but not indoors.
