We need a house sitter

South West - Devon

neil

Pickle the pug needs someone ( or a couple ) to look after him for the the above dates . Guest bedroom with on suite bathroom

Large kitchen , breakfast bar , dining room and lounge with woodburner.

Outside patio with seating adjacent to house,

Being a pug of advancing years he only requires a short walk a day , very short ones if its too wet; cold or too hot . He is happy being left during the day, but means he demands more attention in the evening.

Cockwood is a small village on the Exe estuary , local facilities very good pub within 5 min walk ( The Anchor) . Local bus service runs from the harbour to both Teignmouth and Exeter. Main line train services can be caught from Starcross approx 1 mile away.

Ferry runs from Starcross to Exmouth for foot passengers.

Situated on the Exe Estury trail for any cyclists /walkers. Within walking distance of Dawlish Warren Beach 1.5 miles

We have a large garden approx 1 acre which is terraced , quite a number of steps to reach the summerhouse situated at the top of the garden with views over to Exmouth. So not suitable for anyone who has difficulty climbing steps.

Also if walking from the village the last 100m to the house is quite steep ( proportional to time spent in the pub)

Driveway parking , but narrow access road and turn in makes it difficult for any vehicle over van size , so no large camper vans.

A large single garage is available for secure parking

had a great time looking after Pickle, Neil and his family were very welcoming and have me all the information I needed for an enjoyable stay. The house is very comfortable and garden was lovely on a sunny day. Pickle is very easy to look after, he can't walk too far due to his back legs but there are some great running paths along the river nearby to explore. I would recommend this sit for anyone, thanks again Neil!
