We need a house sitter

South West - Devon

Lizzie

A lovely opportunity for a peaceful Christmas and New Year.
.We live just outside Dartmouth and very close to a tidal part of the river.
We have a pretty spacious but relaxed family house with a hillside garden and a big outside deck. The house is a steep 20 min walk from town with plenty of nearby walking and a short distance from the sea and nearby beaches.
Our two dogs are collie crosses, need a good walk a couple of times a day but are happy to relax for the rest of the time.
We have three ducks, one ducklings and six chickens in the garden that need checking morning and evening.
We’re away from 24/12 to 8/1 but haven’t yet confirmed our exact travel plans, hence the approximate dates.

This was a last-minute sit and Lizzie warned us there was a lot of DIY chaos at the house, but the family was so friendly and happy that this was no problem for us. The ducks and chickens were not difficult to look after and the main challenge was keeping everyone and everything hydrated during the extreme heatwave whilst there.
