Ballymena Northern Ireland

Hi there,
We’re Phil and Mandy and we’d like to welcome you to our home in the lovely coastal village of Carnlough in the Glens of Antrim. We live up a hill so you would need a car, as we are taking ours on holiday.
It’s a five minute drive down to the village wheres there’s a quaint little harbour., cafes, pubs and restaurants.
Ballymena is 20 minutes drive and is a bustling shopping town.
It’s a super area for swimming (we have a friend who goes cold water swimming and would take you along if you fancy trying it!), walking, hiking, with plenty of pubs and restaurants not far away.
Belfast is only 40 minutes away and is a fabulous place for nightlife and shopping.
Now to the animals! We have 1 dog and 2 indoor cats and we also feed and watch over 13 stray cats outside which live in the greenhouse. The 2 indoor cats were part of the outside family but came inside and don’t want to go back to outside life now! 😅
A couple of them turned up one day and before we knew what was happening, they brought along their kittens and here we are! We’ve had them all spayed so there’ll be no more unexpected ones arrive, unless another odd stray hears there’s a bed and breakfast going 😊
Our dog is a 2 year old English Setter, and a big softie! She needs to be kept on the lead all the time on walks as she’s not great on recall but 10 minute drive away at Glenarm Castle, there’s a super secure dog park where she can be let off and can run freely.
There is a man comes to mow the lawns but any weeding you could do just to keep on top of it would be much appreciated, but that certainly isn’t a requirement.
There’s also some indoor plants would want a watering if you don’t mind.
The cats would be fine for a few days on their own if you wanted to go and explore the area, I just make sure there’s plenty of food and water down for them all, but of course our dog would need to come along on the trip with you, she’s great travelling in the car!
