West Wales & The Valleys - Denbighshire
Keith
Slightly ammended advert as we have recently rehomed an additional two ponies from the "Carneddau annual Gathering". They should be well settled by May next year!
We are going away for our family holiday and are trying to minimise relocating our animals.
We originally had three, now five, Carneddau ponies (Native to the area and need very little support - just ensuring they have enough water basically, no stable maintenance or riding required), three dogs (a loving Whippet, a border collie and older Terrier). We also provide services to a cat, who comes and goes as he pleases.
There are a multitude of wild birds that help themselves to the bird seed buffet (Pheasants, swallows, herons etc with various birds of prey hanging around as well)- an ornithogist's paradise :-)
We are located in a very rural position, in the middle of Denbigh Moor and overlook the Eryir (Snowdonia) National Park (absolutely incredible open views).
Its an amazing spot if you are into photography, painting, peace and quiet etc.
The night sky is incredible up here as there is no light pollution, so star watches will be very happy (on cloudless nights!)
We are surrounded by endless walks and "official" bike tracks for all levels - all accesible without any main roads.
If you are into fly fishing (Rainbow Trout & Perch) we have full fishing rights to the Alwyn Reservoir, however you would need to bring your own gear as we don't fish.
Don't worry despite being very rural, we have Starlink satellite for decent internet and lately even an EE mobile phone signal (Hot news - now O2, Three & Vodafone as well) !!
Your own car will be essential as public transport is non-existent.
The animals pretty much look after themselves with access to 17 acres of fields and private woodland.
If this is something you would be interested in helping us with, please do get in touch!.
