We need a house sitter

West Midlands

Gema

We have a Cavachon (Maisie - 11 years old, blind and epileptic). We are looking for a house and pet sitter. Maisie doesn’t require long walks due to blindness but she does enjoy a little walk and sniff around here and there for a quick mile. She does need lots of guidance and help when walking. Her epilepsy is minimal. She rarely has full seizures, but when she does it’s easily managed. She does have some absences rarely which often result urination somewhere.
We have a guest room with double bed and large garden. Our street is a quiet horseshoe with plenty of parking. There is a local nature reserve very nearby for a quiet walk, but the town is also just as close and Birmingham City is a mere 20-minute drive.

So happy to sit for Gema and family again. Maisie is sweet, playful and so confident, she is so cared for and capable it’s easy to forget that she is blind. Maisie knows the house and the area and loves to be with you. Also loves cuddles so makes for the perfect companion. Lovely neighbourhood where lots of people have dogs and will stop to chat. Gema is experienced with housesitters so kind and clear communication that makes everything great and easy. Looking forward to seeing Maisie next ... MORE

Although I was only sitting for a couple of nights it was lovely to spend time with dear Masie who, despite having health issues, manages very well and is totally adorable. The nearby parks and woodlands made my stay all the more enjoyable. Lovely family home, I recommend this house sit.

SHIRLEY (Aug 2024 - 3 nights)
Maisie is a gentle, loving and playful soul. She is as curious as a puppy but has the wisdom of an older dog and is now completely blind. She loves company and cuddles. Gema has ensured she knows the house inch by inch so she's so confident indoors and when she’s outdoors for short walks to have a good sniff around. The house is beautiful and homely, it's in a friendly neighbourhood and the spare room has an incredibly comfortable bed! Communication was easy with Gema and I am looking forward ... MORE

I spent a week at Gema's with Maisie, Ruby & Bunny . They were very loving & so well behaved. The house is lovely & quiet and relaxing. I was there when the weather was sunny & warm and there is a lovely nature reserve nearby for walking. Just over a mile walk in to the town for local shops & supermarket and not far from Birmingham city. I would definitely recommend this house sit thanks Gema for having me.
