Market Harborough England

We live in an old stone, detached house in a rural village a few miles away from Market Harborough. Our 1 year old Golden Retriever is very gentle and loves cuddles. He needs 2 walks each day and quite a lot of company but can be left for 3/4 hours, occasionally; this would rule out visits to, say, London, York or Bath. We have log burners and an unusual heating control system which would probably need to be explained during a preliminary visit. We have a Village Pub, cafe and Post office with countryside walks accessible from the house. Nearby towns include Uppingham, Market Harborough, Oakham and Stamford. Rutland Water is a short drive away, where there are walks with spectacular views, cycling and sailing. There's Fly fishing at the nearby Eyebrook reservoir and Rockingham Castle is a few minutes drive away. The Welland Valley provides lovely countryside and lots of great pubs to stop at for refreshments when walking.
