CAR IS ESSENTIAL. DOG LOVERS ESSENTIAL.
We live in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire England UK we live in a forest area up a forest track in a detached house (of which 1 bedroom is useable by the sitter/s), with 2 acres orchard surrounded by forest . We are looking for someone/couple to stay in our house and look after 1 dog, 1 cat and 10 chickens. Transport is essential. Non smokers only. We are not house proud but it is clean and tidy and do not expect to come back to an immaculate house. Freezers will be stocked but you will have to supply your own perishables.
Free Internet access, local shop and pubs 1 and 3 miles away. Plenty of forest walks in the vicinity. If you look up Forest of Dean you will find plenty of attractions in the area. Nearest Pub and Shop is a Mile away.

This is our second sit for Barbara and Gilbert and it was a pleasure to stay in their home and care for their animals. Roxy and Lucy are lovely little dogs, very affectionate, and love their walks. Barbara and Gilbert’s house is in the forest so we had some lovely walks with the dogs. Barbara and Gilbert are lovely hosts who made us very welcome, and there was a folder of information with everything clearly explained. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Barbara and Gilbert's home. They were very welcoming and everything they needed us to do was clearly explained. They gave us a file of essential information with contact numbers in case of emergency. Their dogs were lovely to care for and we enjoyed our time with them, and Kitty the cat, and the chickens. Their home is in a lovely, peaceful area and very cosy. We're happy to house sit for them again.

Barbara and Gilbert are very kind and easy going people. We really enjoyed our stay and caring for their animals. The dogs are adorable, affectionate and very easy managed. We took them for many long walks in the beautiful countryside.

We had a fantastic sit in the forest. Gilbert and Barbara are warm and very relaxed and they put us at ease immediately. The chickens were generous with the eggs and the local wildlife kept us royally entertained. We especially enjoyed Molly and Jojo and they enjoyed showing us their preferred daily walks. The house is full of charm and character and it was a memorable and rewarding experience.

No rating Barbara and Gilbert have a lovely cottage down a country lane, it was quiet and peaceful location with the countryside on the doorstep. They left me a set of instructions that were easy to work , also provided a good stock of food which was very appreciated. Ross on Wye, Monmouth , and Gloucester are all within 30 minutes by car. The Forrest of Dean is on the doorstep. All in all a very enjoyable stay!
