We need a house sitter

South East - Oxfordshire

Beatrice

Hi sitters,
it is Bea, my husband Fra and our fluffy friend Kobe.
We are from Italy and Kobe has been with us since January 2020. We assume he is around 14 years old, but we have gotten him from another family who wasn't taking much care of him so we don't have much more information on his previous life. All we know is that he is VERY special and are sure you'll fall in love with him too, but he is a special need cat so needs a lot of medicines and attention.

We are both pet lovers but we also love to travel whenever we can. We would love to take Kobe with us but would not be fair on him, so, instead of using catteries, we would love you to help us with him!

Note: we will provide a full 'Welcome Pack' with more details and info for your stay (responsibilities, amenities etc) when we receive your application.
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH ELDERLY CATS and no problem sticking to the routine. He is a special boy and really needs people to be with him and cuddle him. Here is a summary of what we/Kobe need.
This is the most important thing to us: that you live and care for Kobe and that he is your main priority when you are with us.
- to give Kobe his medicines at 6/7am and 6/7pm (plus around 5pm and 10pm). It is very important that Kobe sticks to his food and medicine schedule as he suffers from hyperthyroidism, kidney disease and constipation.
- to groom him at least once a day. He is a longhair cat and for his well-being he needs a bit of help removing the fur with his favorite brush. He really loves it;
- to take him to the vet in case of emergencies (don't worry, we will pay :) );
- to keep his litter clean;
-take him out for a stroll in the garden once or twice a day, as he pleases
- to keep the house tidy and clean.

We live in a 3 story house and it's a new built. We moved in in May 202£. The third floor is master bedroom and ensuite so unless it's more than 2 of you, you wouldn't have access to it but you'll have your own bedroom and bathroom, a toilet downstairs alongside the kitchen and dining/living and 2 studies where you can work or relax.
We have a private garden where you can relax and read a book.

Our place is only 2 minutes from the bus stop which will take you to Didcot city centre and Train station in about 15 minutes. You can get to London and Bath in 45 minutes, and to Oxford or Reading in 15. There is plenty of parking in the driveway too, shall you want to drive here.

More tips on where to eat and spend the time upon request :)
