We (Ella and Julius) are a young couple from Germany who graduated half a year ago. Before applying for university courses, we would like to get the chance to get to know new places and cultures while simultaneously helping out others.
Ella:
Hi, my name is Ella i’m 18, turning 19 in November. I come from a big family with three older brothers and therefore am a very social person who likes to meet new people. Ever since I was in kindergarten we had pets (three cats and two horses in total). It was mainly my responsibility to take care of them and since I enjoyed it a lot I also started taking care of other pets (including special needs pets) in our area, when their owners were on vacation. I get a long best with cats but I also really enjoy caring for dogs and other animals. During 10th grade I spent a year abroad in the US so I speak english fluently and don’t have any issues being independent and taking responsibility. During my time abroad I’ve also learned how to adapt to a new routine and respect another family’s rules and home.
Julius:
Hi, my name is Julius and I turned 18 in July. I come from a rather small family with a twin brother. I never had a pet myself, but my grandparents had a cat and a dog that i got along with very well. I’m a very social, extroverted person who likes to meet new people and i’m always trying to make new connections and experiences. In my free time i enjoy playing football with my friends in my small hometown or traveling with Ella :) English was part of our A-levels, so the language won’t pose a problem.
We’ve been together for one and a half years now and are really just enjoying each other’s company. We are both sporty people and like to go for walks, hiking and trying out various physical and creative activities. We also enjoy going to cafés or restaurants, but mainly cook at home.
We are considering studying in the UK and would like to get to know the country and its culture better as well as being part of a local community.
We are currently enlisted in a university orientation course, which helps us decide our future courses while not having an attendance requirement and therefore allowing us to be away for a longer time period.
We are able to take care of one or multiple pets (as well as plants), do house/ garden maintenance and generally keep the place very clean. Both of us also have experience taking care of larger dogs.
We are looking forward to get to know you and possibly take care of your home and pet/s. :)
