Hi, I'm retired from a long career in university careers advice and guidance and, more recently, as a food taster with a local non-meat food company.

I was inspired by a house/pet sitting friend to give it a try and have loved all of the sits I've done so far! I love going to new places and like animals so it seems a good way to combine the two! I'm focusing mainly on cats as I'm not experienced or confident with dogs. However I'm happy to look after chickens and other small pets too.

I had my own beautiful cat for many years and was brought up on a farm where collecting eggs and feeding chickens was a typical job!

I'm considered a very friendly, responsible person and know how to look after a home (my Airbnb feedback always says I leave my room immaculate!). I've also looked after my friend's cat in her home and another friend's very old tortoise.

What else - I am a keen cyclist, love reading, cooking, live music and travelling
